got sent to Nan Hua and changed T4420's mainboard. After that, went to CGS. Changed a tablet's fan ad learned how to disassemble and assemble a new model =D



21/07/09

Once again, got sent alone to Anglo Chinese School.
Thomas asked me to change T4220's mainboard because the current one is bad.
I've changed it and it still can't work. I thought that the new mainboard was a spoiled one.

So after that, we went to SP. Actually, I went there alone...because the car broke down.
I think it's because of the hot weather. I could smell the engine burning from the inside of the car.
So Thomas asked me to take cab to SP and I went there alone =.=

He gave me a new mainboard, but it still can't work. I suspect that the CPU is faulty.
Went back to office at 4:30pm. He changed to a new CPU then it work =D


Initially after I went back to office, I would just sit down there and wait till 6pm then I'll leave.
But now, I offer my help to my colleagues if they need my help of not.
Was asked to set the register thingy for NUS event tomorrow.

yeah...that was all.
I think I seriously have to stop eating office's biscuit.

Went to Republic Poly and Crescent girls.
Today was a pretty easy task for me. I was asked to change T4220's mainboard and to change the pointing device~

Went to Anglo Chinese High today.
Changed a mainboard.

After that, went to NYP and change 2 user's hard disk.
In the end we have to bring back a user's laptop because he can't boot up his PC.
Due to mainboard problem.


So after NYP, we went to mediacorp to delivery a Monitor.
Saw a celebrity ^^

Went to lots of places today.
Not with SuperVisor Thomas....but with Bento today.
Thomas was taking an off day because tomorrow he have exam. Good luck ^^

Today went to Nan Hua sec. Was 1hour late because before that, we went to deliver stuffs.
Went to Nan Hua Sec and found out that there are 4 Tablet PC waiting for us.
Manage to settle everything down. ^^

As for break time, we're on a rush. So we ate in school then off to deliver stuffs again.
After delivering, we went to CGS (Crescent Girls School), 30 minutes late.
Reached there and was relieved...cause there's no customer =D

In CGS, I've changed a Tablet Fan today.
Settled some other stuffs for the students...kinda messy cause there's lots and lots of things to do -.-
Clock strikes 4 and we left CGS.
OFF to delivery again.

Went to 2 places. Mediacorp and someone staying in Yishun.
Didn't saw any celebrities today...but just the Future Singapore Idol contestant.
Oh yeah..just now, a cutie pie girl smiled to me =D

After that, went to Yishun and then completed everything!!

Got sent to Anglo High School today, ALONE.
But guess what? I manage to settle everything ^^
At first I'm kinda scared...cause I dunno what to do but somehow, it goes pretty smoothly.

After that, went to Singapore Poly.
Was tested to disassemble and assemble back Tablet 4215.
I could actually complete it within 35 minutes. Because of 1 stupid screw, it got dragged ill 1 hour plus -.-

But it's alright...
So after SP, Thomas and I went to Mediacorp to deliver Hanns.G monitor.
Done with Delivering then Thomas asked me to sit in the car and wait for him cause he went smoking.


While waiting for him, guess who I saw?

JEANETTE AW!!!!!!

After Mediacorp, I was sent back to HQ and slack till end of work!!

I guess I won't be updated my attachment blog every single day -.-
Cause I'm tired...but I'll try not to have this stupid mood now.
I'll try to continue blogging =D


Today firstly went to Nan Hua Secondary School.
I was left alone because Thomas had to attend to Republic Poly.
At first I was so dam dam afraid to be sent alone, because I'm still a novice~
But then, luckily there's no customer =D

After that, went for lunch. Duck rice again!! ^^
Then off to Crescent Girls School.
At CGS today, I changed a tablet lappy again. I didn't expect myself to complete it within 1hour. Haha
V. proud of myself =D

Done with everything, when the clock strikes 4, I'm off to office again.
Slacked till 6pm then end of work~

Went to Republic Poly and Crescent Girls School.
Did the same old thing everysingle day.
Travel, helped out, disassembling and called some customers.

After work, went back to office and guess what?
The stuffs bought Big Boss Edwin a birthday cake to celebrate his bday~

Today was a tiring day.
Was sent to Anglo Chinese School and Nan Yang Polytechnic.

Learned to stripe the whole laptop naked and assemble it back again.
I set a target for myself to complete the whole assembling before 45 minutes but it ended up 1hour plus.
Guess what? I've did a mistake today. A big one.

I broke a screw while screwing it into the laptop's case. Plus it's a new casing somemore -.-
Luckily my HQ's colleague is able to settle it or else I think I'll have to pay $150.


Tomorrow I'm going to Republic Poly and then to Cresent Girl School again.
Nothing much to say now.

Sup Gee!
Today I was sent to Nan Hua Secondary School and Crescent Girls School.
I've learn new things today ^^
I learn how to disassemble laptop and changed the cooling fan ^^
I'm gonna learn how to stripe the laptop completely naked tomorrow. It's gonna be so so fun!!


Oh yeah...my Supervisor said that I have to say this during my presentation.
"Through my attachment program, I've learned how to troubleshoot computers, disassembling computers and gain knowledge of the best DuckRice store in Singapore."
Haha!! Yup...during lunch break, my supervisor brought me to a coffeeshop which was located somewhere at Clementi. If I'm not wrong, the address is Blk345.
Yeah..the DuckRice is really nice. 4.5/5 ^^

Enough of other stuffs.


Oh yeah.
I have to reach the office by 8:45am every weekdays -.-
Cause Team Leader wanna brief us every morning AND he hate late comers.
So, I have to keep my eye on my watch every time D=

Today went to Ngee Ann Poly again.
Did the same thing what I did yesterday.
Checking of PC. -.-

I did take some pics during work time, must understand ok? I didn't slack during work.
It's all part of the plan...I plan to take the pics that I've taken and used it for my attachment presentation =P

There are lots lots lots of PC for us to check from 11am to 2pm.
It's so dam tiring -.-

Around 3+, the working was much more relaxing.
After working so long, we got so tired. Just look at Benson. Yawning after that bunch of ppl left.

Eventually, I got pretty bored easily. I have nothing to do so I take pic of myself =D


Once again, not ZiLianing, it's for the sake of my readers. I don't want them to get bored of reading.

Today was a tiring day. Nothing much new learned.
Felt more confidence in what I'm doing this time round~

Okeh.
Today I didn't work at HQ. Boss Jason said that Ngee Ann Poly needs people.
So he sent Benson and I down there.
At first the supervisor brief us what to do, then after that, he left us alone and do the work.

The work is pretty easy. Just 6 steps.

• Power on the laptop, make sure there's display and no flickering
• Check the fan if it's noisy or not
  
• Check touch pad (left-right click)
• Make sure all USB slots are able to detect thumbdrive and speaker
  
• Test keyboard
• Run the RAM scan 1 round

So basically, that's what Benson and I did the whole day.
Other than that, there's my favorite part. Cleaning of Laptops.
It's quite interesting to clean other people's laptop because initially their comp was dirty, then after using the KIWI GLASS WASHER, it became so shiny and glossy~
Haha

There are people who asked us about software problems.
For example, no display, speaker sudden stop and play, bluetooth can't work etc etc.
As for that, we just have to give them our hotline. ^^
It's so easy baby!!

I was afraid to go to Ngee Ann Poly because I don't know what to do.
But then, after he brief us, I felt more confidence in what I am doing.

Ok..it's 2:09am now and I'm just gonna start my attachment program that happened yesterday (Friday).


Yesterday I went back to HQ. Jason spoke to Benson and I on what we'll be doing next.
So I was actually chosen to be sent to outdoor work and Benson remained in the office.
The person in charge of me is Thomas (Supervisor).

It's an outdoor work right? Yeah..my first outdoor activity was actually at RP.
What I did at Republic Poly today was very simple. I just have to look at how Thomas did his job, handle the customers and assisting him with some simple things.
Guess what? He said that when he thinks that I'm able to handle it myself already, he will throw me off alone at Republic Poly till the end of the attachment.

It's not just at RP...there's other schools too but I'm not that sure which school it is.

I took a chance to snap a pic of what I did during that afternoon ^^

Lucky me though...I have free transport =D



Actually, after everything is done in RP, I have to attend to another school but I don't have to...because there's Orientation meeting for attachment students.
But guess what..there's no Orientation meeting at all!!



I was half dead, from boredom and my fatigue dominated me again. -.-

Just look at my eyes!! I'm starting to develop eye bags and more pimples!! This proves that I am not having enough sleep! Aiishhh~


I'm not Zi Lian btw...maybe just a little?
But I'm not those uber hardcore ZLnist okeh? I just took pics because I'm so bored.

I was actually struggling from 2:30AM till end of work (6pm)...doing nothing but just listenning to my Ipod and looking at this guy confused on what his job is about.


So basically, what I did today was :
Sent to RP to gain some knowledge of what my job scope is about and assisting Thomas.

2 July

2nd day of Attachment.
Worked at SMU today. Job was the same as yesterday.
Helping out the students with their PCs and configuring it so that they can enter the school's domain ^^

Woots...today's business was GREAT man.
When the business is good, it means that there's more work for Benson, Joseph and I.
Business starting to increase at 2+pm and it get better as time goes by.
We were serving 2 customer at 1 time...and after completing serving 1 customer, we'll have to deal with the next customer STRAIGHT away.
We were doing this till 4+pm. 2 hours of super hard work.
We don't even have the time for a toilet break.

Well, all this tough work actually pays out well. After 4+pm, customer is getting lesser and lesser ^^
As for the last customer of the day, she's quite friendly.
Joseph,Benson and I were enjoying chatting with her. I even showed her my Thai and Korean Fake accent. Haha ^^
Good good.


Okeh...that's it for today's attachment.

Sentence of the day:
It's a tough day today but I'm actually enjoying it. It's my last day working in SMU, but I've make some new friends there.
Overall rating for today's performance = 9/10

My job is to help out the students with their new PC and configure it to connect tot he school.
